Cookie policy

This website sets no advertising cookies, runs no third-party trackers and has no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark theme preference.

The mobile app stores more — your session, your downloads, your streak — but all of it on your own device, for the app to work, and none of it for advertising.

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store and send back on the next visit. Local storage is similar but stays in the browser rather than travelling with each request.

Both are neutral technologies. The problem people rightly object to is not storage — it is storage used to follow them between unrelated websites. We do not do that.

Exactly one key, in local storage rather than a cookie:

• ise-theme — whether you chose light or dark. Set only when you use the theme toggle, read on your next visit, and never sent to our servers.

That is the complete list. No analytics cookie, no session cookie, no advertising identifier, no pixel from a social network.

The app is not a browser and does not use cookies, but it does store data on your device so it can work offline:

• Your session token, in the operating system's secure storage.
• Your downloaded lessons, notes, vocabulary and audio.
• Exam attempts made offline, until they sync.
• Your streak and daily goal progress.
• Your notification preferences and theme.
• A push notification token, if you enabled notifications.

All of it is removed when you sign out or uninstall the app, except attempts that have already synced to your account.

We use no third-party analytics on this website. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no heat-mapping tool, no session recorder.

Fonts are served from Google Fonts, which means Google's font servers see the request. We use this because self-hosting every script we support would materially slow the site on a Nepali connection. No cookie is set by it.

If you follow a link from here to an external site — the app stores, our social profiles, Lacspace — that site's own policy applies once you arrive.

We would find visitor analytics useful. We decided the trade was not worth it: a consent banner degrades the experience for everyone, and a tracker that follows people around the web to tell us which headline performed better is a poor bargain to offer someone researching an exam that will decide their next decade.

We measure the product itself instead — inside the app, on data you knowingly generate by using it, described fully in the privacy policy.

Every browser lets you clear local storage and block cookies. Clearing ours means the site forgets your theme preference and follows your operating system setting instead — that is the entire consequence.

On mobile, uninstalling the app removes everything it stored locally. Signing out removes your session and downloads while leaving your account intact.

If we ever add analytics or any storage beyond what is listed here, we will say so on this page and, where consent is required, we will ask for it properly rather than burying it in a pre-ticked box.

We do not currently intend to. If that changes, this page changes first.
