Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Lacspace Corporation Pvt. Ltd. covering your use of iSmartExams — the mobile app, this website and any institute portal we operate. By creating an account you accept them.

If you are using iSmartExams through an institute, these terms still apply to you personally, and your institute has a separate agreement with us covering their portal.

You must be at least 16 to create an account directly. Students under 16 may use the platform only through an institute that has obtained parental consent.

Your account is identified by your phone number and secured by a one-time code sent to it. You are responsible for keeping access to that number, and for anything done through your account.

• One account per person. Sharing an account between candidates is not permitted.
• You may use your account on more than one device — that is expected, not a violation.
• Tell us promptly if you lose control of the number your account uses.
• Do not create an account using someone else's number or identity.

We may suspend an account that appears compromised, and will contact you before doing so wherever it is safe to.

While using iSmartExams you agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, redistribute or resell our question bank, lessons or audio.
• Attempt to obtain answer keys other than by completing an attempt normally.
• Interfere with scoring, ranking, streaks or any other measurement.
• Use automated tools to submit attempts or harvest content.
• Post advertising, coaching promotions, agent services or paid-group links in the community.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other members, moderators or our staff.
• Upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to share.

We enforce these. Most breaches result in content removal and a warning; the exception is below.

Using iSmartExams to obtain answers during a live official examination is prohibited absolutely. This includes posting a question from a live exam, requesting answers to one, or relaying answers to a candidate sitting one.

The consequence is immediate and permanent account termination without refund. Where an examining body asks us about a specific incident, we will cooperate with them.

This is not a policy we apply reluctantly. A community built around exam preparation cannot also be a channel for exam fraud — those two things cannot coexist, and we have chosen.

Our content. Questions, explanations, lessons, audio, illustrations and software on iSmartExams are owned by Lacspace Corporation Pvt. Ltd. or licensed to us. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own preparation. That licence does not permit redistribution in any form.

Your content. Anything you post in the community remains yours. You give us a licence to display it within the platform, and to keep displaying it if you later delete your account — otherwise deleting one member's account would remove answers other candidates rely on. You may ask us to remove specific posts.

Institute content. Questions uploaded by an institute belong to that institute. We host and serve them; we do not add them to our own bank and we do not licence them onward.

• Prices are shown in Nepali rupees and are the amount you are charged.
• Pro subscriptions run for the period purchased — monthly or yearly.
• Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep access until the paid period ends.
• Refunds are governed by our refund policy, which gives you seven days.
• We may change prices, but never for a period you have already paid for, and we will give notice before a renewal at a new price.

Failure of a payment provider does not entitle us to withhold access you have paid for. If a payment succeeded at your end and did not activate, tell us and we will activate it.

We aim to keep iSmartExams available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages and the occasional bug happen.

We add, change and remove features as the product develops. Where a change materially reduces what a paying subscriber receives, we will tell subscribers in advance and offer a pro-rata refund if they would rather leave.

We may discontinue a category of exam preparation. If we do, existing subscribers keep access for the remainder of their paid period and can export their history.

We work hard on question accuracy and we correct errors quickly when they are reported. We do not warrant that every item is free of error, that our coverage matches an official syllabus exactly at every moment, or that any particular result will follow from using the platform.

Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded under Nepali law.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of an examination opportunity, loss of employment or loss of a visa or placement.

This limitation does not apply to death or personal injury caused by negligence, to fraud, or to anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account, or by writing to us.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Except for exam integrity breaches, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to respond before terminating, and you can appeal to a different member of our team.

On termination you can still export your data for thirty days, unless the termination was for exam fraud.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Kathmandu have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Before litigation, please write to hello@lacspace.com. Almost everything is resolvable in an email exchange, and we would far rather do that.

We will tell you in the app before any material change to these terms takes effect. Continuing to use iSmartExams after that point means you accept the change.

If you do not accept a change, you can close your account and, if you are within a paid period, ask for a pro-rata refund of the remainder.
