Japan's Specified Skilled Worker tests in Nepal: which sectors are testing this autumn
Japan's official SSW support website lists Nepal test windows in September and October 2026 for nursing care, building cleaning, construction, accommodation, agriculture and automobile transportation, alongside the Japanese language test.

To work in Japan under the Specified Skilled Worker (i) visa, candidates generally need to pass both a Japanese language test and a skills test for their sector. Those who have satisfactorily completed Technical Intern Training are an exception. The language test can be the Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese (JFT-Basic) or the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).
